Entertainment & Arts
Downtown Brantford has the seeds of a burgeoning entertainment and arts district. From Harmony Square — a hub for around-the-year activities, concerts and festivals — to various live music and art venues around the downtown, it is one of the most likely places in the city to find entertainment or arts events happening. Something to suit every style:
- The Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts is an upscale, 1125-seat vaudeville theatre with full-featured season programming, from theatrical productions to classical symphonies to modern musical performances across many genres.
- A variety of bars and clubs in the downtown reverbrate with an ever-changing mix of live cover bands, DJ's, and in the case of Club NV, even national touring acts. And restaurants, such as 24-hour breakfast diner, Lonnie's, cater to feeding the after-hours crowd.
With a variety of tucked away studio spaces, regular and irregular art and music festivals, summer movies in the Square, photography crawls, and more happening every day, the downtown is growing in reputation as a place to be entertained and inspired.
